Lectionary Readings for Sunday

Joy Lutheran Church

Richmond, TX 77406-2005

All are welcome. Come as you are.

Expect to be greeted with warmth, but not singled out or embarrassed. Visiting churches can be a daunting process. What do you wear? When do you stand/sit?

At Joy Lutheran your dress is of little concern and the service will be projected on the screen at the front of the nave. The service is recognizable as traditional, liturgical and Lutheran.

8:00 am Celebration Worship - A traditional worship experience led by the Joy Choir, organ, Joyful Tooters, lay liturgists, and special music.

9:15 am - Christian Education - Growth in discipleship and following Jesus are offered for all ages, pre-school through adults.

10:30 am Spirit Touching Spirit - A contemporary worship experience led by the Praise Band @ Joy and lay liturgists, using a variety of contemporary Christian music together with the historic liturgies of the Church.

What about communion? What do I do?

We believe that Christ is present in the bread and wine during the holy sacrament of Communion. If you believe this as well, and you have been baptized, you are welcome to participate in Communion at Joy Lutheran Church.

All members of God’s Kingdom are brothers and sisters in Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation. If you have further questions about Communion please ask an usher or the pastor. If you have trouble walking just notify an usher and sacrament will be brought to you.

QUESTIONS? If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, or desire a visit: please contact the Church office during regular business hours or call Pr. Christ directly (cell: 832-549-4985).

Our Mission: Called by God, we reach out joyfully to share Jesus Christ with all people by building healthy relationships with God and one another.
